Wentworth Park has a number of different area which can be hired out to schools, community groups, businesses, sports teams, film companies, etc.
There are three levels within the grandstand. The lower ground floor or Bistro area is approximately 230m2. It can be set up with tables and chairs or left open for standing events. The area has it’s own bar and food service facilities. A dedicated PA system is installed and large screen TVs are prominently displayed throughout the room. Male and female toilets are located at one end of the room. Access to the area is available from the ground floor and/or doors that open facing the oval. There is also access via the underground carpark.
The ground floor is approximately 1600m2 and is the largest indoor area within the complex. It can be accessed from both the northern and southern sides of the grandstand as well as a large entrance facing east. There are two bars located on the ground floor and a café. There are toilet blocks located at four different locations. The ground floor has a dedicated PA system and numerous large screen TVs are installed throughout the space. Tables and chair can be set up in this area for exams or this can be used as an open space for trade shows, exhibitions, exams and other events.
The first level is separated into three areas. The main area is the sports bar which is around 550m2 and is primarily used for functions. This space has its own bar and food service facilities. It also includes an outdoor terrace area of an additional 150m2. The Northern area is around 400m2. The third room is around 100m2 and has it’s own service area. Stairs are located on the Northern end and escalators are installed at the Southern End of the first level. There is also an elevator which begins in the underground carpark. Two sets of male and female toilets are located at each end of the area. The Sports Bar and Northern Area can be combined by closing a folding wall. The area can be set up with tables and chairs for exams, large tables of 10 for functions or left open. It has its own dedicated PA system and has large screen TV’s installed throughout. There is also an outdoor balcony as well as a smaller outdoor space. Both of these look over the oval.
The grandstand seating can accommodate approximately 3,000 spectators. The majority of which is undercover. There are six sets of stairs leading up through the seats. The top of the seating includes six private box areas which are sectioned off. Speakers are located in the grandstand to work with the external PA system. A digital screen is located near the race finish line. Access to the grandstand can be from either the ground floor or first level.
